Psychoeducational
Assessment

These assessments are offered by most schools, but are not accessible in a timely manner due to long wait lists. We can efficiently assess important factors related to academic success, including: 

 

  • Learning profile and academic skills

  • Cognitive abilities

  • Social and emotional functioning

 

To get a balanced understanding of your child at home and school, we offer questionnaires for each setting. Physician referral is NOT necessary but we encourage collaboration when possible.

 

Common referrals: Attention Problems, Learning Disabilities, Anxiety, Behaviour, Social/Emotional Concerns

Neuropsychological Assessment

This is our most robust assessment. It provides a more in-depth understanding of:

 

  • Academic skills

  • Cognitive skills

  • Vocational interests

  • Neuropsychological functioning

  • Personality assessment

 

Focusing on brain-based behaviour, this service is appropriate for 

post traumatic brain injury, and determining work expectations for placement within an organization.

 

Common referral sources:  Private businesses, Public institutions, Government, Community agencies, Physicians

Vocational Assessment

Geared toward high school seniors, young adults, and mature students, these assessments provide a solid understanding of important factors related to career success, including: 

 

  • Learning profile and academic skills

  • Vocational interests

  • Cognitive abilities

 

It can be intimidating to choose from among hundreds of occupations. Let us help you narrow your search by comfortably examining your skills, abilities, aptitudes, and interests. 

 

We want you to succeed when you get to University or College, so become informed about your skills before you go.

Consultation
  • Contract work (e.g.,  rural or government)

 

  • In-Service Education (e.g., child development, behaviour management)

 

  • Program Evaluation (e.g., assessment of school-wide interventions)

 

  • Best Practices Consultation (e.g., review of current educational research)
